Can My Boyfriend Take My Car if It's in His Name

  1. Default Tin can My Ex- Take Back a Automobile He Gave Me if Information technology's Withal Titled in His Proper noun

My question involves a relationship in the state of:Texas. I had a babe for my ex-swain. While I was pregnant he got married to another. Prior to all this nosotros were living together for 2yrs and 10months until he asked me to leave. While nosotros were dating he gave me a machine as a gift. I already had my own auto, but this was a nice looking 1 than mine. I've been driving this automobile at present for three one/2 years now and he wants it dorsum. When he gave me the automobile back in 2010 he asked that I put in my name, merely I declined one time I discovered it had a salvage championship. I did not want to pay hefty taxes of a luxury vehicle that was salvaged.

Now that I accept already sold my car going on now 2 years, I no other transportation but the vehicle he gave me. The title is in his proper noun, along with insurance and registration. The only proof I have is taking the vehicle to the dealership for repairs and/or maintenance. We accept mutual friends and family unit that know this vehicle was given to me as a gift and they all say don't give information technology back because of the state of affairs he has put me in. Even pastoral friends know our state of affairs and say me and the babe need the vehicle.

Can he accept me to court for possession of the vehicle he gave me?

  2. Default Re: With a Car and Baby

Yes, he can take you to court, and he may very well win.

You *take* taken him to court for child back up/custody/visitation, correct? If non, get on information technology. Skilful luck.

  3. Default Re: Tin can My Ex- Accept Back a Machine He Gave Me if It's Still Titled in His Name

The infant does not have a drivers license, ergo information technology does not need a automobile. If pastoral staff feel you need a car and then badly, the church should donate one to yous. Reverse to your assertion, vehicle ownership is a luxury, not a necessity.
